What are peoples thoughts on these two browsers.

Are there any significant differences and benefits between the two and which would be your choice? :D

I use Firefox mostly, much more widgets - like an online spell checker which reads and marks when you write in these comment boxes for instance ;) and much more stable.
More and more internet savy users are switching to Firefox - most bloggers do

But as 'part-time' web desginer I have to use IE also to check the lay-outs etc - and knowing how Firefox in on the increase I'm still amazed that some designers make sites just for IE which are pretty unworkable - unclickable - in Firefox!

I think one of the biggest reasons is (or maybe was) security. IE was renowned for having more security holes than a sieve. Firefox is a very robust browser and much harder to corrupt (spyware, keyloggers etc.) With the newer version of IE they seem to have addressed most of the issues, but ive been an advocate of firefox for a long time now.

Either way IE is still the most widely used browser!

Have used Firefox for several years now. Never have any problems, however some sites like Microsoft don't like it for some reason.
