i replied becasue i wondered had you forgotten about google.

first one comes up says requires win xp, i dont know if you have win xp, so its best i point you in the right direction, that way you see the criteria and know is it suitable.

My first one on google isnt a free one. If you posted asking 'got a free mov to avi etc I would give you a link..thats what Im after. I have xp

Ok I know how to search, & so do you & most returns on that finish as a free download, which is not what I want. I want a free programe. I will have one by Monday that is understandable & free

Well it took a lot of trials but I have found one, I have also done the conversion & added it to an .avi.

most of them have, and to increase my post count is not the reason i posted.

I posted to be helpful. its amazing on this site the number of people that do not know about or how to use google. and where did diyisfun find the prog he used? wouldn't have been google would it?

No i am am not poking fun, its just that most of us in the uk (those who know about google) will search google.co.uk, that is fine if you want say a diyforum based in the uk, but if you want one based not in the uk, then to use google.com is a better option. but seeing as software is not "based" anywhere, most will opt for the.co.uk, forgetting about the .com.
