Took the actuator off today, the spindle would only move mm's either side. I applied some WD40, it moved a little. I dodn't want to put too much pressure on, as I do not want to snap it. How stiff should this spindle be?

When I put the arm to manual, the lever has to be right over to kick the pump into action, by the time it has gone into it's slot (the "M") it switches the pump off.

Also, how can I check the actuator is working properly, I mean if it is off the spindle could i still get it to actuate, to see if it works?

Thanks in advance.

If you cant do it properly, use a big ammer...

Or you could tell us what make of valve it is. Some move only a small amount anyway, and most (if not all) don't operate the pump with the lever in the manual position. This position opens the valve, and applying power to the pump is a seperate operation.
