Its after 2200 hrs so I can legally say this!

ASDA have had a very good offer of THREE bottles of wine for £10 for some while.

Just this week the price has increased, not to £11 but to £12 which is a 20% increase !

Thats a massive increase and anyone who noticed it will have had very negative feelings against Mr Brown and his party.

Thats the voluntary broadcasters watershed against adult themes.

Voting is only allowed for adults so thats irrelevant.

Polling stations were open until 2200 hrs so the media ( including public web sites ) were not permitted to comment on political matters during the opening hours.

I was lucky because one of my customers was managing a polling station so I was able to telephone her for advice as to whom I should vote for. She kept her station open for an extra half hour to deal with the long queue.

Its against the rules to discuss political matters inside but I was only doing it on thephone. The manager of my polling station looked rather worried but did not disturb me.

If you took your dog(s):-

Dogs may not yet be entitled to vote but they are allowed to come and watch as long as they don't disrupt the vote. According to previous guidance issued by the Electoral Commission, dogs must be in an "accompanying" role rather than "free-range".

In cases where a voter has two or more dogs and will struggle to control them while casting their ballot, polling station staff may hold the dogs' leads. Rural constituencies might have cases of voters riding to the polling station. In such cases, horses and ponies should be tethered up outside.

There is no guidance on other animals such as rabbits, ferrets or pot-bellied pigs, so any decision will be at the discretion of presiding officers.

You need to ask a friend who to vote for?
Keep paying the £12 Tony, I'm sure that at £84 + per job, you might just be able to afford it ;)

My local MP is a very good young Liberal lady who was not fiddling her expenses and has a very good reputation in the area. Along with Andrew Dinsmore perhaps the best two MPs in Parliament. She is bound to be elected again.

I was inclined to vote for the Tory as an anti labour tactic. But the Tory candidate was an Asian whom I had never heard of and never likely to get many votes. So, after a little advice from my labour voting customer at her polling station, I voted for Heather Teather as I call her!

and you know for a fact she isn't on the fiddle?

It might have been Alsheating - he needs the money ;)

Tony

Well Alsheating is in Suffolk and unlikely to be standing in London.

In any case if thats Newgas then I would never vote for him to be in Parliament.

Heather Teather is nothing like any other politician, a nice clean purposeful girl. For how much longer anybody knows but today she got my vote! Not for her party, but for her as a person who seems dedicated to helping people without personal gain being a motive unlike virtually all other MPs.

Its rare for anyone to have an opportunity to vote for someone like that.

I only made the decision to vote after lunchtime!

He would go anywhere for money - Bangladesh sounds good

Just after getting up then ;)

A couple of weeks ago, on the 24th April Saturday evening, I had an interesting chat in Addis Ababa with a British Moslem dressed in a cap, beard and long white shirt.

He had only been British for five years as he had been born in Zambia and only came to the UK about 10 years ago. It was very interesting that he is VERY pro British, and thinks we have a wonderful NHS as compared with Zambia where although they are very advanced for africa have no health service and anything serious has to go to SA at considerable cost.

Without any prompting he was very vocal to state that he thought that further immigration to the UK should be stopped and was with the UKip party ( perhaps the BNP too ) on that topic.

I had long suspected that many British Asians held that view and I was very pleased to find that, in his case at least, my suspicions were correct.
