Apologies for the probably noob question.
I've got a large pile of mixed soil and rubble and looking to hire a grab lorry (muck away) to take it away. This is because I want to keep my driveway free and don't really want to have to spend an afternoon loading a skip.
I've always used skips in the past so not quite sure what I am doing when ordering a grab lorry so wondering if there is anything I should consider in advance?
Specific questions.
Am I right in thinking that they would be able to reach over a fence to grab the soil? The soil is behind the fence in this picture. I can remove the fence but would prefer not to if possible.
Next question is how to do you calculate how much you have to remove? Is it as simple as estimating the cubic volume? Here's my beautiful pile of soil and rubble currently but I have more to add if the grab lorry can deal with it
