To be honest I probably know what the answer is going to be but just perhaps someone may know better.
I have been asked by a customer to remove a mulberry tree. It's affecting next doors drive and it's really in the wrong position considering how big it may get. The mechanics of the actual removal I'm fine with , it's something I've done before the question regards cuttings.
The owner of the tree really likes the tree and is a bit sad that it has to go so has asked if it would be possible to take a cutting to transplant to either a better place or even perhaps a large pot.
Is there a possibility of cuttings taking? It's likely that the tree will be coming down in the very near future i.e. some time between now and christmas. It is currently about 10 ft tall. Having never taken cuttings from this type of tree I'd appreciate any advice as to wether this idea has any chance and what methods or precautions would be appropriate .

Ah better news than I had thought , I'll tell the customer she will be pleased .I'll give it a go with several cuttings , then hopefully I should have a success.
