Hey all, i wonder if anyone could advise...

I have a static caravan in which the previous owner fitted some rads. On investigation, it seems they have used 16mm multilayer pipe to run to the rads. Am I right in thinking this sort of pipe is normally used in under-floor heating?

Whenever I've fitted rads in the past I've always used 15mm plastic pipe, normal olives and pipe inserts. Is this correct?

Anyway, the inserts and olives for this 16mm multilayer pipe are unfamiliar to me: https://www.heatmerchants.ie/multilayer-pipe-screw-fitting-compression-adaptor-cp1143

Looks like they are designed to work with high torque?

So... I'm refurbing the static at the moment and I'm undoubtedly going to be moving rads, shortening pipes, etc. Should I only use the fittings as above for the 16mm multilayer pipe, or can I use normal olives and pipe inserts? I'm actually having a bit of a job finding inserts that have the right size, but I think they are available.

would be grateful for any advice.

Somewhere like city plumbing trade centre ( you can go in) will stock fittings.
