They have the technology, is it time for admin to do something about these?
Perhaps they could ban later usernames attributed to the same person, failing that how about posting up a list of who's who, so then at least everyone knows who (relatively speaking) they're talking to.

The only way to stop multiple user names is to log users IP addresses. Registration should only be by the users Service providers email addresses (no Gmail yahoo etc internet emails allowed)
It's the only way to stop multiple usernames from one person.
anyone found to have multiple usernames should be banned for life, their IP address logged and banned.
Childish behaviour ( of which there are several examples of late) should meet with a fast response from Admin only. Whether that should take the form of a ban (short term or longer) or posting limit per day is up to Admin.
There's no excuse for the petty bickering to go on and on. Admin should be on top of these things and stop them before they get out of control.

How many people have a static IP address?

Me I have a static IP, but what the MODS would see is the IP of my wireless router, soon as IP6 is in use on the same scale as IP4 there will be enough of them to assign to individuals, that was the problem with IP4 not enough to go round hence DHCP to lease them

See if you can all guess who my other account is

You can change your IP address static or not , you can also go through a proxy.

Depends if your PC is connected directly to the MODEM then your PC will have the leased IP from the ISP, by releasing it and renewing it will still get the same IP, releasing then waiting for a while hoping that an expired lease takes your old one, hmm don't know. I thought that once the lease expires it gives same IP for another pre-determined period

Regardless, multiple accounts from same network will all show up against the default gateway
