Hi all

My mum's timber back door has a multiple locking door mechanism. The type with two "pins", a dead lock and a sprung latch. The latch part will only engage if you pull the handle up to horizontal. I removed the handle and realised that the spring must be in the lock part.

If that is the case can the spring be replaced? If not, which parts need to be replaced?

I haven't removed the lock yet. I did try some grease on the latch but it made no difference.

Sorry, not the best of photos.

Thanks in advance.

look all over for the brand name.

the key may not help as it might have an alternative cylinder.

the camera is compensating for the bright light outside by darkening the door.

Yeah, I guess that the cylinder is not related to the actual lock.

Perhaps I should remove the whole thing and look for a brand name. Tnx.

Here is a photo of what I assume is the manufacturer's stamp

Doesn't help me much though.
