I well remember when I was younger not being allowed to watch programmes such as TOTP and The Tube when my Dad was about cos he didn't class it as "proper music". When I eventually got my own music centre in the bedroom I had to also invest in a pair of headphones to stop him screaming up the stairs to "turn that rubbish down". Blasting music and frenzied air guitar sessions were only allowed when the parents weren't at home. I can't foresee any such problems with my own two kids. Eldest is 9 and he likes to watch Keranngg TV and listens to most of todays indie bands. Daughter is 6, and after hearing me playing a "System of a Down" CD earlier today asked if she could borrow it. Ah bliss.
