Hello all,
I have a Diplomat touch control ceramic job from Howdens/Mfi. Had it
for around three years with no issues - however it recently just stopped working. It simply doesn't turn on. No beeps or anything.
As it's an electric touch sensitive thing, there's no buttons to press to reset or anything like that - and it's not been locked (i.e child protection feature).
There's a main on/off switch for the hob on the wall and this appears to be functioning - when switched on, the light on the switch glows red and it goes off when the switch is set to off.
So my questions:
1) Do these hobs have an internal fuse or something which may have blown?
2) Assuming I need to replace the hob, (or change a fuse if there is one) Do I just prise the hob up from the worktop? Is there a knack to this or do I need special tools? Please don't say I have to take the oven out!
Cheers,
R.
