"A woman who died after being attacked by an American Bulldog at a flat in Aberdeen had previously been charged after the animal attacked another dog.:

"Michelle McLeod was pronounced dead at the scene after being attacked by a dog inside a property on Foresterhill Road at around 11.15pm on Saturday.

It was confirmed the dog involved, an American Bulldog, had been put down following the incident.

In June, a 41-year-old woman was charged following a report of a dog attacking another dog in the same area of Foresterhill Road...

STV News understands the woman charged was Ms McLeod."

They are an extremely dangerous breed. Every single one of them should be put down and a total ban of them being in this country...

Her dog 'Wouldn't hurt a fly'
Very reassuring if we were all flies.

Short story: A friend had a baby & her boyfriend moved in - he was given a Rottweiler by a neighbour.
She eventually allowed the dog into the house but only if the boy friend was there.
Everything OK for a few weeks then one day the boy friend was "out for a minute" - she heard a noise from the bedroom & rushed in - the Rottweiler had jumped up to the high cot, and now had the baby's head in its mouth & was trying to drag the baby under the bed.
She went berserk & smashed a lamp on the dog's head & pulled the child loose.
The dog then attacked her but she was away, and closed the door in a flash.
The Rottweiler & the boyfriend were put out for good within the hour.

I am reminded of the story of the granny walking a nervous toddler in the park.

Big excited dog bounds up. No lead, no recall. Knocks over toddler who screams and tries to run away.

"He won't bite" says owner

"Then I won't cave his head in with a brick" says granny.

Dog owner skulks off muttering "unreasonable."
