My shower will not get hot

I have fitted a Aqualisa Midas shower (not sure whether it is a Midas 100, 200 or 300) and it does not get hot enough. I have tried adjusting the temperature control by removing the temperature controller head and adjusting the position of it (as explained in the installation guide), but it fails to improve the situation. Is there any other checks I can carry out to try and find the problem or is it the flow controller at fault and a replacement is needed?
