myson apollo ch dhw problem

i have installed a new honeywell st699 programmer (faulty due to power cut and power returning) and now my ch works but hw does not. boiler/pump comes on when controller is in the off position and goes off when switched to cont (working in reverse), could this be due to faulty tank stat. i have changed 3 way valve as i had spare and fully checked wiring out with spark. HELP

It was a honeywell st699, identical unit!

For info, incase anyone comes across it in the future. I have fitted a new cylinder stat; and yes it has rectified the problem!!!
