Hi all,
I have a myson appollo fanfare boiler.
The problem with it is that it wont fire up.
If it's switched to timed or constant you can hear the fan start, to me this tells me the timer is working and doing what it should.
The fan runs freely and smooth.
The pilot is alight.
There is something that's telling the boiler not to fire up.
If I'm persistant and keep on switching off/on then eventually it does fire up.
I managed to get it fired up yesterday and had the hot water turned to constant and the rads switch off but the rads got hot aswell, very strange!!
I'm no heating engineer but I've had the cover off the boiler and tested all the wiring, the air pressure switch is clicking when blown down which to me indicates that it's opening and closing.
This boiler looks so simple and there's not much on it that can go wrong,
but it's got me baffled!!!
Any help/advice will be appreciated.
Kindest regards,
Dave
ps:-roll on the warm weather!!
