My Myson Economist wall mounted boiler model no;WM40/55 appears to fire up when it wants. On timed setting the hot water and heating switches on ok but when it is switched on manually e.g. during cool evenings, it fails to fire up even though the pilot is lit and all the controls are calling for heat.
Have had a new gas hob fitted recently during which gas supply was switched on and off but supply to house appears to be switched back on ok. Have also had some problems with one cold radiator following the fitting of a replacement radiator some six months ago but during this boiler seemed to work ok. Also had a new ignition switch fitted to the boiler six months ago but again no problems until recently.
The boiler must be around 15 years old but appears to be in reasonable condition, could it be that the on switch which has settings from 1 to 5 is faulty and needs replacing. Any advice/guidance would be most welcome
