Hello, first time bungalow DIY renovator here.

We had our entire floor screeded 3 months ago, all has been well and we were delighted with the result. I popped in this afternoon and was alarmed to find this mark on the floor. It has the appearance of being where a drip has landed, but I can find no signs of a leak in the roof. There are no pipes in that area of floor. There is what looks like a wet patch in the centre, surrounded by a dry patch, and that surrounded by a wet patch with salty-looking crystals sprouting up from the surface. Perhaps I spilled some water here while filling a bucket, thinking little of it? Would that make sense? Maybe I am getting worked up over nothing!!

Grateful for any thoughts.

Many thanks

Chris

Looks like the crystals might be just efforvescence, but it is a strange shape. Does look more like there was something on the bottom of your bucket. Try cleaning it off & see if it comes back again.
