Mystery combi boiler issue?

Hi there,

My hot water is completely fine - never had any issues (other than it being a little slow to get hot out of the tap sometimes) but when it comes to heating, it barely ever works. The boiler it self has 00 on it at all times, and is hit or miss whether it will turn on or not. When it does happen to turn on, after 45 minutes or so of being on it sometimes starts rumbling to which it vibrates the whole house and I ultimately have to turn it off instantly. The water pressure bar is also above 2 at this point.

Any help/advice and does it sound like an expensive fix? Afaik when I bought the house I was told the boiler itself wasn't that old and the estate agent said I wouldn't expect any issues with it.

Which boiler is it?

Has it ever been serviced?
Or has it been hiding in the loft for years?

It's a logic combi ideal c24 and when I first moved in at the start of the year - the heating wasn't turning on so I had the previous owner get it sorted before I bought.

If the display reads 00 then it hasn't got a call for heating from the themostat?programmer.

That's just the boiler on standby. As suggested, it isn't getting a call for heat at that point.

Get a recommended person in to service it, they should be able to tell what the issue is, if any.

it could be as simple as you have not set a timeclock or programmer or room thermostat.
