hmm what size nail for 25mm battens into trusses? 40mm ok? and are these clout big heads? thanks

65 galvanised or 63 gun nails.
Mind your fingers banging the felt tacks in you may wish you just acquired a handful of 38s

Great mate so 65mm for battens and the 15mm is ok for felt but better with 38mm for fingers

If you use clouts for batten you are more likely to hit the head with tile or slate fixing nail. 30mm or 38mm clouts a good shout ..
