What is it called when the pitched or pyramid roof rafters clip the outside edges of the upstairs rooms causing a cove between ceiling and wall at those edges.
in the loft space when you go to the outside edges there is a ‘tunnel’ between the roof tile underlay membrane and the rooms plasterboard ceiling. Typical it is 100 mm as it is the rafter height. Once above the ceiling there is normal loft space.
it’s a funny word like skold or scald (not skillion as in a pent roof).
