Oh yes it is a reverse underleaver left handed noggle bracket! :D :D

At a guess I would think it fits using the prongs into chipboard somewhere to clip an appliance into place something like a cooker hob, kickboard or similar.

yeah those teeth do look prepared to bite into chipboard, I'll go back and look to see if that sheds any light on the doodad thingamajig.

The teeth go into the top of the plinth and the long part of it goes under the base unit facing forward.
