Hi
On a conservatory gutter, with fixed height guttering (that should be flat, and I think that there is no way to adjust the height) there is a very slight incline going the wrong way for the single downpipe. This leaves about 10mm of standing water at the furthest point.
Unfortunately there is no space to install a second proper downpipe at the obvious place.
I was wondering if there might be a reasonable way to have a narrow bore "trickle" drain, not to take the main flow, but just to drain the standing water gradually? I'm thinking 15 to 20mm diameter pipe.
Obviously the main problem is that it would get blocked easily. Anyone heard of a successful way of doing it?
For interest, the gutter used to leak near the lowest point, which used to prevent standing water, but did cause a much more serious damp problem! Once I fixed the gutter hole, no damp, but now the gutter never fully drains and there is a whole ecosystem breeding in the standing water.
