Hi, just wanted to express my 1/2disbelief at how much a lazy/ naive consumer can get ripped off! here's my story!
I pop down to the local computer shop (which shall remain nameless) and the sales lassy shows me the most popular pc which was costing about £499. I ask if there was a difference between the store price and the online price......£50 diff she tells me!
So i'm just about to agree to this as i'm lazy and couldn't really be bothered to shop around etc., but then last minute she tells me if I wanted the Word, Excel etc package it would cost me an extra £100 ish, then tells me insurance cover = £x amount......I see the ££££'s all adding up and I start to panic, so I say my thanks and make a cool sharp exit.
On my way home I visit my local computer orbit shop where I got all I wanted for £345! (this is good for me).
So very happy and a rare occasion where I don't get ripped off! I just find it extrodinary that there could be such a WORLD of difference in PC prices!
