Hi,
I am going to have to replace my oil tank for my heating system soon.
It is located next to a garage wall.
Under the new regulations I cannot install a new tank in the same position
without fireproofing the wall.
I understand that it needs to have a 1 hour fire rating.
I'm trying to find something to cover the soffits and facias with to acheive this.
I have found some UPVC ones that are fire resistent here:
http://www.eurocell.co.uk/buildingplastics/euroboard.html
Fire rating to BS476 Part 7: 1997 Class 1.
I'm having trouble finding out exactly what the above BS standard is, i.e
how many minutes it relates to.
Can anyone help please ?
Cheers
Steve
