I've used a multi meter to suss out the pins on the twin lamps
So,
with the lamps upturned, facing upwards and pins going from bottom to top
it shows that,
Pin 1 is live brown
Pin 2 is Blue Neutral
Pin 3 is Hot wire Black
Pin 4 is Earth

[very important]
The Ballast manual says,
Hot Leads 9,10
and
Cold leads 11,12,13,14
should be separated as much as possible
_
[3]
The ballast manual says,
SK I Luminaires: earth of ballast housing required
SK II Luminaires: no earth required
Lamp connection with twin ballast should be made with symmetrical wiring
Question 1:
SK II could be the "twin" lamps, so no need for earth
and
SK I must be single tube, there for requiring ballast
I'm thinking otherwise though, because single tubes always have a built in ballast
or am iI wrong?.. hoping I don't need to earth,
because
I feel that ballast cold leads 11,12,13,14
need to be filled by lamp wires blue and green/yellow
so no need to attach them to ballast casing?
Question 2:
I see that earth pins on the lamp are at 4
Does that mean they should be separately slipped into Cold Lead ballast 13,14
With Blue Neutrals separately going into Cold Lead ballast 11,12
Thereby leaving
Hot Lead ballast 9 for the two brown lives twisted together
and
Hot Lead ballast 10 for the two hot wire blacks twisted together?
Also
On Ballast 3,4
I find that the mains lead has brown live and blue neutral only,
so
am I right in thinking that, if hot lead 9 will house the two live browns
then going from bottom to above in the same fashion
will mean that
Mains live will be ballast 4
and
Mains Neutral will be ballast 3
thanks in advance
