I have an ikea wardrobe where the door fell off.

See below pic:

I was thinking of getting 2 of these metal plates and putting over the damaged wood:

https://www.screwfix.com/p/corner-plates-zinc-plated-83-x-0-9-x-83mm-10-pack/13954

I was thinking of using 2 of these as they where the cheapest plates I found.

Good idea or bad idea?

If I use 4 screws on each plate (8 in total), will that stay in place?
The underlying wood is cheap wood (of course being Ikea).

My initial thoughts are: yes, will stay in place, because there being so many screws... the load is spread out?
+ I have used corner plates to fix kitchen doors and know they work fine.

ALSO: The wood that is sticking out doesn't push back in.
Should I take off and try to use filler? Or is that useless to do - given that the inside is hollow?

Thanks.

I have hinges like that I bought from ebay.
I lined up. The big holes don't line up.
So thought I'd be better off getting the flat plates and drilling holes?

Filler... Can you send me a link to a recommendation? Thanks
