Need help replacing GU10 socket

I've got a GU10 bulb where the ceramic socket broke.
Left I have 2 wires.

See what I have here:

This is what I found on Amazon:

Assume blue is for blue wire and brown is for black wire?

Any problems using these extenders?

EDIT: just looked at prices of downlight sockets - less than £5. Maybe I'm better off getting replaced?

The adaptors are designed to convert extra low voltage G5.3 to low voltage (230 volt) GU10 and the holder has a ring to hold bulb in place, one shown is screwfix, where with a GU10 fitting the GU10 holder also holds the bulb in place, so better to renew the whole fitting.

The Amazon kit is not to wiring regulations. The connectors must be inside an enclosure, and none is provided. The Screwfix one is fine though.

But I agree. Buy a new downlight.

Do I need to get like for like?
The original one we had installed, they seem to be less available than the newer type?

Just make sure the hole size is right. Then look to see if it will come close to matching the others. (If there are any others.)

Don’t forget there are hundreds of suppliers, not just Screwfix.
