Last night our street suffered yet another power cut and as a result our alarm sound continuosly until the power was restored some one and a half hours later.
Now, the alarm is an 'Ultima' of some sort and I just wan't to disconnect it as it's never used and really does not suit our needs.
I have read on various other threads to take the panel cover off take a fuse out and take battery out.
All well and good but I am worried that there is a battery in the external bell box and it will sound and not stop.
Is there a way of finding out as I do not have access to any ladders??
The bell box is one of those reall big ones with a strobe on the top (if that helps)
Anyone on here want an easy job in Tyne and Wear?
Please help!! thank you!!
