Hi,

I have purchased a duplex apartment whereby the living room and kitchen are in one on the bottom floor and the upper floor is the master bedroom. This master bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the living area.

Due to the apartment being shared by 3, I need to install a retractable divider between the ground floor and 1st floor so that privacy can be achieved when required, but can be retracted.

I have attached images of the balcony (some are the wrong way up but couldn't flip them once uploaded). The ceiling around the balcony slopes which so a curtain rail wouldn't be possible and blinds wouldn't look right being on an angle.

I am no joiner so would need to pay someone to come in and do the work - but don't have any idea what the solution currently is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Adam.

your limited really if its easilly moved
it will have to fold or ruffle up
so a multifold floor standing screen free standing zigzag style or fixed to furniture or railings

or ceiling hung part height or full height

There is a whole industry in this ie folding movable partitions. Though anything bespoke will be expensive. But then the alternative is getting a good joiner in, which will be equally expensive. Assuming you want a good job of course.
