Neff Dishwasher 12 yrs old

Hi
I have a 12 year old Neff Dishwasher which stays on with only cold water and the programme running for ages.
We have cleared the fat trap.

If you turn off the mains and then press reset the next wash is fine ,with heat !

Any ideas ?

Might be a good idea to check the main control pcb Board.
Though checking it fills with sufficient water when it doesnt heat is recommended first.

Yes there is sufficient water but on the occasions it doesn't heat there is a bit left in the bottom..
I presumably can by a new pub from Neff?

There will always be some left in the bottom even after draining but should only be visible by removing filters.

A new pcb would be too costly and it has not yet been established that the fault lies with the control board.

Removing the top and side panels will expose the inner workings to proceed with checking/testing of the heater/thermostat/pressure switch.

There is the possibility of a dry joint on the pcb or a faulty relay.

Advise if testing is an option. Tools/experience.
