We bought a built-in Neff dishwasher S51T69X3GB about 3 years ago. Earlier this year there was a bang in the door and it got heavier, but we continued to use it with the plan to plan to get it out a little later and check and fix. There was another bang last week and the door became really heavy, so I opened it up today.....
Both springbases are cracking and crumbling away, i.e. the attachment for the springs in the large plastic base is failing, both rope attachments have cracked and one door hinge clip has broken. There was a lot of plastic debris on both sides of the dish washer. Considering that this was not one of the cheaper models it certainly feels that way now.
Is Neff / Bosch / Siemens aiming for the low budget market now?
