Neff hob won't stay lit

I've just had a Neff hob installed & it won't stay lit. It ignites and stays lit until I let the knob up. I've tried holding it down for up to 15 seconds but it isn't making any difference.
Any thoughts?

Have you checked the manual for ignition instructions? On our hob the knob has to be pushed down turned to specific position and held there for a certain time or it automatically cuts out when you let it up.

Faulty thermocouple probably. But if it's new, just get another one.
