I've got a Neff U1721 oven and the glass has fallen off the inside. I've bought some high temp silicone to stick it back on, but has anyone got any tips for holding the glass in place while the sealant sets? I can't see how to remove the door without pulling the oven out and that would be a lot of trouble in this case.

Open the door, look for two metal discs at the hinge point on the door. Turn them so that they go under the hinge. Close the door and lift, it will lift out quite easily.
If these discs aren't there there should be some clips to come up and over from the hinge to lock it. Close and lift the door and out it comes.
You'll have to split the door to replace the glass.
Clean it thoroughly and apply the sealant. Put the glass in place, put a weight on the glass (large bag of sugar should be about right) and leave it overnight. Reassemble the door, refit and reset the discs or clips.

Fantastic, thankyou. No disks, but I think there were what might be called clips over the hinges. I will have a go this evening.

I've just found this thread after problems I had with trying to reset jammed door hinges on a Neff U1461 oven. In trying to understand / fix hinges (which I did), I part opened it up and unjammed the hinges, but I it put back without refixing the handle properly, the door sprung open and the smaller piece of glass on the back of the outer door somehow came away. Is this the same piece that the earlier posts discussed? I'm puzzled, because I can't see any obvious signs of adhesive on this piece of glass, so I'm not sure if this piece is fixed by high temp glue or not? Equally, I can't see any obvious way that it's fixed in by clips.

Advice appreciated.
