OK, here goes.
My house is networked up, cat6 to every room, 2 sockets each room.
Im looking at an alarm system that could utilise the existing points.
either somthing that would integrate with my network and run through the switches, or (and probably the cheaper/more reliable option in my mind) somthing that can run over the cat 6 lines, but be multiplexed in some way so all the sensors etc can be sent down one cat6 to the control panel.
either pointers as to products that would accommodate this, or the proper names for these systems so I can google it would be great.
