I'm planning to update our bathroom in a chalet style bungalow. The upstairs was an extension.
The bungalow was built in 1969 and the extension was done in 1980, consisting of three rooms, two bedrooms and a bathroom.
My concern is the weight of the tiles. I'm planning do re-tile the walls and also the floor.
The room is 10' 6" x 8' 6", currently the bathroom walls are fully tiled but lino on the floor.
The total weight of the tiles come to 600kg. I would imagine the existing tiles weigh 250-300kg.
I'm also planning to remove the water tank and storage boiler in the room next to the bathroom. I worked out the weight loss here would be about 150kg.
Should I be worried about the weight of the tiles for this project?
