New Beko dishwasher leaking from the cold water inlet connection

Hi There,

So I recently had a new free-standing Beko dishwasher delivered and installed. I noticed a day or so later that there was a significant leak under the sink - coming from the inlet connector hose - where it connects to the cold water compression valve. The thing is - having disconnected the hose, I notice it has a raised piece of plastic that stands proud of the rubber seal - see pictures. I'm wondering whether this would prevent it making a good seal with the valve. Are the valve and the hose not compatible perhaps - do I need a different valve?

TIA

Does the nut screw on to the valve further without that filter than when the filter is present? If so, then the filter is preventing a proper seal.

Hi Alec - I haven't checked - I'll do that now. Didn't want to mess too much with the new fitting in case that bit was needed.

Thanks

Well - I've just taken the filter out, reconnected it and... works fine - not a drip in sight- even with the dishwasher running! I think I'd convinced myself that this was some modern type of fitting that needed a different type of valve to match on the other end - one that had a recess for the filter bit. Thing is - the valve fitting that it connects to is just a regular one from Screwfix. I'm surprised more people don't have this issue.

Anyway - thank you so much! :giggle:
