hello all. i'm desperate for some help. at the moment i have an old back boiler heating system that i want to change over to a combi boiler system. my problem is which boiler to go for. i have a three bed semi and have worked out that i would need about 32000 btu for the heating, now i know Worcester are amongst the best on the market but i have been offered a vokera compact 25he for £399, 29he £479, 35he £518 all plus vat. this offer includes all the flue system and digital clock. are these boilers any good also are there any difference in the radiators that you by from B&Q as to opposed from the well known make like stelrad at least i think that's what there called.
many thanks dave

Worcester are far better than Vokera, whatever you do don't buy an Ideal. Make sure the system is cleaned out and a magnaclean/spirovent dirt sepersator is fitted. As with all things in life you get what you pay for.

thanks for the response. there seems to be a few Worcester's on the market. for instance what is the difference between a junior a greenstar si
and a cdi

The i is the cheaper WB range. Has no hot water control thermostat knob.
28i 11.4 Lt/min hot water

The Si is similar to the i with the addition of a hot water control knob.
30Si 12.3 Lt/min hot water

The Cdi is the better boiler by a long way.
30Cdi 13.1 Lt/min hot water

Have a look on their web site.

Look at a the Dutch Broag Avantaplus 35C or 39C combi. The 39C is £917 inc VAT, that is very well priced for a 40kW boiler.

Look at the combi options pages 17 to 21. The outside senors etc, are extra.

Have a Magnaclean on the return to the boiler. That will prevent any blocking up of the tubes in the heat exchanger.

The Broag, has a 5 year guarantee. They use primarily industry standard components and little plastic with Honeywell brass hydrobocks. The Broags are better quality than Vaillant and much cheaper. They are a well priced
quality boilers having a superb control system with integrated outside weather compensation and OpenTherm protocol control. Buy the outside weather temperature sensor and use weather compensation - great comfort conditions and economy. You will not look back.

there you go again with your free advertising and incorrect advice. How many times will you insist on spamming Remeha on this site?

They are the best price/performance boilers on the market. The vented and system boilers are dual temperature boilers, which few manufactures make. Better than Vaillant who you work for and spam. I do not work for a makers or sell. I just know more than you.

If Vaillant bettered Broag then I would say buy Vaillant. Sadly that is not the case.

In fairness to Broag their boiler is a good piece of kit.
As for BB pushing them, its blo*dy frightening and embarrassing

Why BB's blabbing on about them the answer is easy.

Broag seem to have full page adverts in many trade magazines recently.
Very eye catching advert and they stupidly included a web address.(specially for sad people like BB to quote from their brochure)

When asked about their warranty he did not have a clue, neither would he know how to install them.

With a bit of luck, the men in white coats will catch him again.

Amazing. This is the Welsh fella who thought having a Corgi badge meant you were competent. Amazing.

I have no problem with remeha, but I do have a problem with Bigbullshit advising people and impersonating an expert, he is not. Who is he to judge as he has no relevant qualifications, experience or knowledge.

Please, for the sake of the OP, can we give the bickering a rest?

If there's an argument to be had, maybe someone could start a new thread and argue there.

Exactly. Two fools came adding no value whatsoever only being negative. I would ban the both of them.

The OP now knows what certain people think of each other.

Continuing the conflict here isn't actually going to help him choose his new boiler, is it?
