I have been thinking about taking advantage of the new boiler scheme grant and am looking at replacing my existing oil boiler with a new condenser boiler, my current boiler is outside in a little boiler house, if i was to go ahead with replacing the boiler would there need to be any work done inside the house or is it just a matter of removing the old boiler , boiler house and the flue and connecting the new boiler to the pipes that come out through the wall and wire up the new boiler?

It all depends on your system , if it is fully pumped (2 pipes going to boiler) you will probably get away with it HOWEVER if you have Gravity hot Water, then the system would need upgrading as Condensing oil boilers cannot support gravity HW if you can post some pics of the boiler and the HW tank connections I might be able to confirm which you have ;)

There are two pipes going to the boiler, not sure if this matters but the system has a motorized valve fitted to it, i will post some photos tomorrow.
