I have a normal bulb in my room and want to replace it with a 4 bulbs ceiling light. Please see attached images. Not able to understand how to wire up.
Is the fitting second hand/ used previously ?
There isn't sufficient clarity of the terminal block ,and wiring at the fitting ,there appears to be some wires that are not connected to anything ??

Basically, what is currently connected to the ceiling rose gets connected to the 4 terminals of the large block, and the fitting connects to the smaller block.
An additional benefit is when mounting and dismounting the light, you don't have to muck about with a screwdriver undoing terminals with one hand, while supporting the fitting in the other - just plug in and go.
Although you may need to make a larger hole in the ceiling to push the connector up into.
...and I have to say, some of the wiring on that looks a bit dodgy!
