New combi advice

Hello all,

i was looking for advice/recommendations for a new combi boiler. currently i have a radiant which has lasted a long time around 18 years! but it's time is up.

i am considering a vaillant ecotec/ecofit , main boiler and also intergas. i have 9 radiators 4 bedroom and 1 shower. my current gas pipe is 15mm.

Intergas all the way, absolutely knocks the socks off the other two. You'll probably need that gas pipe upgrading whichever boiler you go for

I'm just about to buy an intergas rapid 32, it's looks a good boiler for the loot, £730 inc standard flue and VAT.
Will be powering 8 rads and an underfloor heating room.

I've been recommended a 28mm supply (around 15m) ... up from current 15mm

ECO RF - 10 year warranty and nice & compact. If you're on a tight budget then the Rapid is still a good boiler, but it's quite big!

it's also a bit heavier...

You can extend the rapid for another 4 years... to 7 for £140 ish... forgot to mention.

Does it need be installed by approved installer for the 10 year or 7 warranty?
I don't have an installer in my area

Have you considered Navien ? Apparently they have something new to offer the UK boiler market.

As I work directly for Intergas I see a lot of Mikes installs. I'd have his company work in my own house anytime

Just bought the Rapid and I can confirm, it's a lump! both is size (It's no larger than my old boiler) and weight.

The Rapid Plus model, comes with 6 years warranty... I'll be using a third party to fit it.
