This type of question has probably been asked many times but here goes:
I plan to put down a concrete floor in a 5m2 area at the rear of my house. I have dug out down to the subsoil about 230/240 mm below the finished floor level. Does the following proposal sound OK from the soil up ?
100mm hardcore (approx);
blinding layer of sand;
damp proof membrane;
50mm insulation;
75mm (approx) concrete screed directly onto insulation slabs.
Or do I need another layer of concrete between the insulation and the final screed ?
