Hi
I'm planning to dig up an old floor in our 100 year old house.
It's quarry tiles laid onto a thin mortar mix and then soil underneath
This has led to some damp, and uneven floors - and of course it's cold
So... i'm planning to dig out about 12", chuck a layer of hardcore in, level with sand, then dpm, polystyrene and a concrete slab. the three 'main' parts being approx 4" thick.
The advice i've read already on these forums mentions tying the DPM into the existing DPC - how would i do this?
thanks in advance
