New Dishwasher - First Run

I am hoping that someone can put my mind at rest.

I switched on our new Neff dishwasher for the first time today to give it a flush through havinq quickly read the instructions.

I set it on an economy 30 minute program and it started up.

4 minutes into the program I remembered that I had not filled up the salt reservoir with 1L of water.

I immediately opened the door which halted the program. I filled up the reservoir and let the program continue.

Have I damaged the machine ? How would I know ?

Relax, all will be fine......the salt is effectively a water softening system and nothing will be damaged.
If you let the salt run out for a long while you may see the odd sandy looking particle on the dishes, but forget about that too.
Enjoy! Soon you'll wonder how you ever managed without one.
