I have 8 GU10 downlights in my lounge.
They are fitted with LED lamps.
I want to swap them out, but keep them as GU10 fittings.
Two reasons, one I have sheet loads of stock and two, I'm a bit old-fashioned and prefer that we can swap a lamp out when it fails.
They don't strictly need to be, but fire-rated seem to have come way down in price over the years since I last worked with them.
Four have a larger cut out (used to be eyeballs, but are now fitted with these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Knightsbri...rds=knightsbridge+gu10&qid=1609981194&sr=8-29 ), four are fairly standard fixed downlighters with a bezel of approx. 90mm diameter.
Some of my stock of LED lamps are slightly longer than a standard GU10, so would appreciate fittings where the lamp holder is not fixed.
Has anyone seen or used these? https://www.downlightsdirect.co.uk/ansell-edge-fire-rated-downlights.html
Are they a good bet?
Cheers!
