I have moved into a new flat with a new kitchen.
I have bought an electric cooker and need to connect it. There is a cooker electrical thing on the wall. When I take off the blanking plate I get this:
I have this as a consumer unit:
The fuse for the cooker is a red one with 30A written on it.
My cooker (dual oven & hob) has a sticker at the back saying 230 - 240V 50Hz 9800 - 10700W
Am I right in thinking that I need a 6mm2 cooker cable? I probaly need about 1 or 2 meters to allow me to connect it easily.
The cooker will be right up against the wall where the connection is. Do I just loosen the screws in my 1st pic and connect the cable and tighten screws? Thanks for any help.
