new electric cooker

hi just brought a new cooker but the shop says i need a 45amp connection. im sure my cable is alright but the fuse is only 30amp. i have a hager consumer unit type b mt. as far as im aware hager only do 40 or 50 amps. what do i do?????

Normally suggest you follow manufacturers instructions.
We need to know the size of the cable you have and the output of the appliance?

the cable should hold 48amps, it runs from behind the cooker in the wall and works it way to the consumer unit on the other end of the house.
 
You have two options then
Either stick in a 40A MCB (I assume your cable is 6mm with ref to 48A)
But doing this will mean it becomes notifiable work.
or stick with what you have, under diversity rules it will do.
 
but with sticking with the 30 amp fuse wont it just keep tripping when i got the oven going at its max (oven and hob on). may be i think question but what you mean by diversity rule
