Hi We are just getting up to roof level of a new extension on the side of a gable end house with double roman tiles. There is no parapet on the existing or the new extension. The extension has to be set back 150mm from existing and the roof dropped 150mm from existing. This will give a leaded detail of 150mm from the existing roof, down to the new roof.
My question is, how to use the old tiles and finish the old roof edge? Previously it was a cemented end finish, but as it was a cavity wall and the outer skin was outside, any small ingress of water just ran down the old outside wall. Now this old outside wall is an inside wall and i fear will just be damp and is a week point in the roof join, cemented end tiles, never being very good in the first place. New double Romans have angled end tiles as we know. But using the old tiles, anyone have a good solution?
