New garage roof

Hi I was just looking for some advice if possible, I have a double garage at the bottom of my garden that needs a complete new roof.

At the moment I have a flat roof on one side and a pitched roof on the other side. There's not much head room on the flat side so ideally I would like it either hired or pitched but not sure on which is best to do. Then there are materials sheet steel, felt or epdm. I don't really have the budget to get a roofer to come and quote and would be looking to do as much work myself as possible.

It currently isn't being used as a garage, more for some storage but eventually I would like to convert it to some sort of play area/room for the kids to use.

If the budgets low and you want to do it yourself, go with plastic coated box profile sheets.
