New Gutter and Flat roof condition

Hi Everytime it rains the water pours down the windows and cladding from the dorma roof at the back of my house, The plan is once the weather improves
to fit some box guttering, I just wanted to ask if the condition of the flat roof looks ok, also would all the moss on the tiles be an issue at all ?

Flat roof looks ok to me. Moss is normal - especially where there are trees and not much sun.

I'm assuming your plan is to install the gutter on the edge of the flat roof directly above the windows?
But it's difficult to see if the flat roof felt has a deep enough overhang to form a drip to feed water into the new gutter. If it doesn't, you'll need to construct one, as otherwise water will just pour down behind the gutter.

Very good point I hadn't thought of that, I'll try and have another look tomorrow.

clayton, The roofing felt has been laid in the wrong direction.
A separate felt cove has been flashed up below the first course of tiles. If the felt had been correctly laid length wise then no separate flashing piece & extra seam would have been needed.
Here & there, the overlapped edges are raised a little.
Ponding can usually mean the roof framing lacks a fall. Ponding is not a big thing but its not good - some surveyors red flag it.
Remove all the moss and debris from the tiles and the flat roof.

None of the above is a big deal but FWIW: now you know.

Fitting a new drip edge and drip piece can be easily done but it would take a professional flat roofer using heat to do it.

Watch carefully when it does rain - some water may drip behind the gutter rather than into it, especially if it's windy - because the existing drip doesn't really extend far enough out over the gutter. Still you may be lucky and it'll work OK!

No need to, wait use a hose and water test the gutter.
