New head for telephone extension

The head on my mother-in-laws telephone extension cable has broken. See photo.
I cant replace the cable but also can't seem to find a replacement head. Or is it a case of cutting the line, getting a new extension and joining them?
Any ideas?

It is just a normal extension that allows another phone to be plugged in, doesn't convert or anything but can't seem to find that connector on its own

In that case I would get a splitter like https://www.amazon.co.uk/BT-Socket-way-Adaptor-Splitter/dp/B009PJJ59O and then chop the end of the existing extension and crimp on a new bt plug.
